mulberry mulled the Princess,
for a new gown.
with slippers of cranberried broidery
designed by elves
on thistledown holiday
surprised at play
and ordered to dress-make
or else.
experience came hard for the princess.
a mulberry dress gift-wrapped at last
arrived by parcel post in blinding snow
with mustard colored shoes.
