I wandered every fairytale way
even when every path was strewn
with thorns, not roses-
and the sun shone down on lawful ridicule
excused by market forces
facing numerous evictions
beauty in mind was never
wounded
and in the ivory moment
I looked for Your sustaining hand;
it was not in vain.
they say it is too hard to
find the tenuous way back
but it is harder not to try
