[to Edgar Allen Poe]
amaryllis ah the lily light
when will the spent wing flame
lifting the sky that's fallen down
on those with sudden fame
rose was the colour of the sigh
before the bent knights came
flauting the codes that shone like stars
above the winter's plain
amaryllis ah the lily light
and, will you come down the glen
to shine like music in our hearts
and let us bloom again
