never forget that if they want you for their play
they will use you as a prop.
be prepared to emulate furniture.
a throw rug or two.
at best, bright curtains in the wind.
engaging you in conversation,
one day you will understand
all your words
are pouring from their lips
gathering a small crowd.
live like the hermits did
on pillars in the wilderness
never speaking outloud.
write poems on the wings of birds.
