The One Who Leaves

the one who leaves is that the one who knows

or is it the one left who doesn't know yet feels the

leaving or the trees, oh do they know or is

it only the leaves who rush when the wind calls

and not allowed to choose.

and not allowed to choose the moment of going away

is that the grief? or is it that there is any going away

at all and how can it be after so many have come and gone

so many trees leafed and leaves have fluttered away

we still don't know

what makes it hurt so
