[to my Grandmother Lucy who will know what I mean]
books fell out of the clouds and posies:
this was my dream and dream was home
and always you were there
telling us stories on the veranda...
o.k. we had no veranda.
I made that up. it's a story.
it's a story. it's a dream
it's a fable; it's a dress with no seams
made out of clouds, the pink and the blue
and freshly hemmed, and just for you!
we're back to clouds now, are we queried
my angels; you know what I mean!
most certainly we do they said in silver ripples.
I kept rummaging through their attics
till the rose lights fell on me from the great heights
oh I'm a rose window now I sighed
from pure happiness.
won't the kids at recess
be jealous...
