suddenly you are aware in your far tower
they no longer give you picture books.
this is called higher education or-

something. anyway, progress.
an improvement.
but you miss the pictures.

will they come into your dreams and night
plucking the starlight
and stealing the images there too?

you wonder, as you spin the moonlight
into no king's gold
still keeping watch.
