Does He love even the dust
from His far kingdoms;
i think he does
and the rings on trees
the petals of the smaller wonders
the slightest breeze
we feel in quieter moments
all these
are His beneficence
to us and cherishing
and I dream
of how it may have been
if we had kept Eden's green.
and dreaming still
my older footsteps turn
upon His turning world
please may I be spared
to learn the span of stars
His heartbeat
under everything.
