More Than Life

we are their targets Lord from day to day
we, or the things we made
delighting in You

in the things you showed us
why I wonder why
our cry comes continually before you

for those who slay
and have no feeling
for the slain

without remorse they live
taking what others will give
laughing behind the scenes

and everything that means
more than life
to You.
