Ah, No

I want to write without aggravation in vast estates of imagination
I want to spend the nations of time In Diamond solitudes to glorify useless Beauty
to live unburdened by the diatribes to ravel with old colors in

sweet birthday accretions of candle wax in variegated rainbows
thick on the bottles of green glass…
in the little restaurant with the chequered cloth

where violins weep and the sandwiches replete...

spin by the fire they told me or in the garret cold
spin everything to gold that we may carry it away
or you may, should you choose, on holiday,

carry everything for us

without pay.what else have you got to do.
ah no said I to the waning fire
God in the ashes stirs again

the phoenix beauty risen within the hour.
the fairy tale’s dark commands
remanded.
