they say even plants dont like to be moved
and we can imagine though it can't be proved
trees also dislike to be uprooted in a storm.
also, people, who are poor though you deplore them
maybe you do
would like to remain on land, like you
not to be tossed overboard.
perhaps to float or drown into Heaven.
oh scoundrels awarded at every turn
who gave you the right to turn us away
because we cannot pay like you
because of all that we've been through
and may go through again.
how wise was Christ who taught us how
to brave the cruel, the furrowed brow
in each and every troubled day
by learning how to say and say again:
oh. The Kingdom is within.
