where we shall float upon the violet waters
where we shall float, evading the floods
sending the doves out when the green leaf appears
the doves launched from the crummy rooftops
of our dreamfed years
again above all lost horizons.
mariners, we have found you both
making from an admonishing nightmare
such holiness and laughter
higher than an archangelic heaven
the green blue sky interpreted by children
too beautiful to mention
when the waters of earth subside.
