living in la fortaleza, fortitude by English measure
tensile dream and cardinal red
through the darksome woods we sped
not a force a heart instead
braving winter, driving the snows before it.
day by day the quest grows brighter
and the burden so much lighter,
fortaleza.
drop the Pilgrim's staff and then
find the Heart of Christ again
far beyond the battle ranged
and winning.
