SUNG TO MY HEAVENLY FATHER ON A DAY I WAS HAPPY AGAIN
You sent me a Zodiac from the stars
Bright lemon and mauve from the moon
You sent me a bouquet of winds from the North
And the chill of the gold afternoons
Red gold presents you gave to me
In the melting of the sun
Rains perfumed like Araby
In tales of the Kingdom come
Violets in bunches down by the spring
Flashes of blue where the lightning stings
Hints of carmine, and saffron and green
and all that I can do
is sing it right back to You.
