THE LILTING WORD MUST CONFINE ITSELF TO CORNERS
The lilting word must confine itself to corners
Never the Light said in any storybook
Let it be scattered like gold across many waters
Let it unfold all roses, lilies, all things bright
We have garnered or stumbled on at greatest need
Never did the lilting word
Forsake the beauteous creed.
Let blue smoke from the chimney
In the picture of the schoolchildren
Billow and billow.
The shutters be green as green.
