BEAUTIUL IT IS SO ALTOGETHER ALL THAT WE CAN SAY
Whenever I see
The memorial poems heaped up like flowers
by anonymous poets who barely register
in the rolls
I think to myself I don’t know anything
Of veneration for the great Poets of old
Let me be a child again and learn
From those who write but whose work is spurned
Far nobler they
Than those for whom sweet poetry pays perhaps
Or maybe that’s unfounded;it takes courage to succeed
But what matters is the Love we all feel
For every poem in the field
In this we are one.
and make together one grand chorus.
Major and minor bells all pealing
Beautiful it is so altogether
All that we can say.
