There Must Be Millions Of Poems About The Flowers

there must be millions of poems about the flowers
laced across centuries
yet still we cannot keep up
still there will always be more flowers than poems
more flower poets will come braiding the sun and dew
new petals too ceaselessly arriving pink in the scattered skies
in the sudden Spring.gusts
I was in a rose realm for a hundred thousand years
keeping the catalog, corollas cried uncrowned Thumbelina
what will you do you will never finish
you are only one you;we are myriad.
there they are in the wind in the flower fields of the worlds rippling laughing their perfumes haunting the cloud hidden stars
how will we ever catch up to them
in all their colours, fragrances too
on my grandmother's bureau stoppered, in crystal.
will we launch flower balloons to recuse them
or will small birds come, the iridescent ones
breaking off the blossoms
weaving it all into birdsong
of a plum nature.
