Summer Poem In Chlorine Blue

who cares if I splash around in the baby pool of the English language

I have fun there

even as a so-called grown up

I don't have to go into the deep end of the pool

and anyway, I can't

being a poor swimmer at best

no need to dive off

showing off in front of the others

lounging around the pool.
