APOCALYPTIC ANGELS SAY OR ON THE VERGE
That former things have passed away
Apocalyptic angels say or on the verge
We, too, have the urge
Ever distantly to move
From all the things we cannot prove
Ever happened to us in the first place
The view on earth has altered that much.
What new shelter should we seek
Or will our tents fly out in the wind
And all of us be emigrant again
All of us as the soul spins out its thread
Between the living and the dead.
