MEDITATION ON THE 23RD PSALM OF DAVID
I felt the myrrh of starlight
While I was asleep
A balm I did not cause
That streamed
Into all wounds
I knew this was not something I had caused
And I breathed Deep from the Breath
That made and sustains us all
And knew then, that I could rest
That I could settle myself o in the green pastures
That David mentioned in the testament of peace
God gave to him by the still waters of peace
And the waters of peace flowed over me too.
